LILLYBET by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba is a chair that takes traditional decorative elements and gives them a contemporary look. The design is based on the dialogue between past and innovation: shapes that evoke the image of a classic chair are interpreted with greater lightness to create an elegant, modern shape. The frame is made from recycled technopolymer in keeping with Kartell’s continuous research into new materials. The design is characterised by its fabric covering, chosen to permit different aesthetic interpretations. In addition to a floral jacquard fabric designed with the aid of artificial intelligence to produce a rich and original motif, the chair is also available in bouclé and velvet with a contrasting cord – solutions offering different looks and greater opportunity for use in indoor environments. The LILLYBET chair blends research, technology and decorative sensitivity and offers new perspectives for dialogue between tradition and contemporary design.
