Kartell supports the Cool Forest project @ Biennale Architettura 2025

Kartell supports the Cool Forest project at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition entitled “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective”, curated by Carlo Ratti and organized by the Venice Biennale from May 10 to November 23. The project is presented by Kate Orff, SCAPE Landscape Architecture, Marco Scano, Max Piana, Craig Douglas, participants in the competition.
Kartell’s creative thinking looks to the future and to ever-innovative solutions in complete harmony with its manifesto “Kartell Loves the Planet”. It is no coincidence that Kartell furnishings will be inside “Cool Forest”, whose group leader is Kate Orff of SCAPE, the renowned landscape architecture studio that deals with tackling climate change and promoting social connection through innovative design. “Cool Forest” offers an opportunity to educate the public on urban warming, adaptation and biodiversity. The project includes both a physical and digital expression: a forest pavilion displays vegetation adapted to the future climate of Venice and a digital installation monitors and visualizes the benefits and cooling effects of vegetation in the city. Taken together, the proposed elements of the project are at the center of natural, artificial and collective intelligence. The project highlights the power of vegetation as a fundamental element of the infrastructure in our cities. “Cool Forest” will also be accessible thanks to the installation curated by Kartell with the DR. NA tables and the Masters chairs, made with sustainable material.
“Cool Forest” will be open to visitors in the exhibition space of the Arsenale, an immersive experience aimed at inspiring new practices of circular economy and thinking about the regenerative potential of architecture and design.
