Spazio alle Radici. A Dialogue Between the MEET Center and Kartell Museum Archives

On the occasion of Design Week 2026, the Kartell Museum and MEET Digital Culture Center are bringing their respective archives, “Spazio Archivio” and “Le Radici del Nuovo”, into a unique conversation. The result is “Spazio alle Radici” (Room for Roots), a project where the two museums converge: the Kartell Museum features references to the MEET collection, while MEET hosts elements from the Kartell archive, creating a continuous flow of cross-pollinated stories and languages.

While the MEET archive explores innovation in digital art and culture, the Kartell archive chronicles the breakthroughs that have shaped the history of design. The comparison between the two collections connects different disciplines and highlights the role of the archive as a source of inspiration and a place for cultural research and production. The project offers a shared perspective on broad themes such as technology, innovation, design, and nature, and celebrates roots as the essential starting point for imagining and building the future.

On April 22 and 24, “Spazio alle Radici” offers a curated itinerary dedicated to art and design: a shuttle service will transport participants from the MEET Digital Culture Center to the Kartell Museum and then to the Kartell Flagship Store, to discover the narratives born from this dialogue.
