Kartell Museum and Palazzo Sums present: the Culture of Plastics

Google Italy dedicated its doodle on 6 August 2014 to Anna Castelli Ferrieri to celebrate the 94th anniversary of her birth.

Anna Castelli Ferrieri was an undisputed pioneer in the world of Italian design during the 1960s and 70s, as well as being one of Kartell’s founders, designing everyday objects and experimenting with formal and technological solutions that stood the test of time. Her works include the Componibili, a circular container designed in 1969 that remains one of Kartell’s bestsellers.

“I constantly ask myself whether I am being faithful to my aim of improving quality of life in every way and upholding a high standard of ethics in my work” (Anna Castelli Ferrieri).
