British prize for Bourgie
Design & Decoration Awards 2005
The third edition of the Design & Decoration 2005 gave out its awards at London’s magnificent Natural History Museum, on 9 June 2005. On this important occasion, the Bourgie lamp, designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Kartell, received the prize in the Lighting Product Design section. The evening, presented by BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth, was organised to recognise the projects, products and people that have added excellence to the design and interiors field. The all-British jury featured journalists, designers, critics, architects and industry figures, including Barbara Chandler, design critic at The Evening Standard; Gordon Lindsay, Interior Designer; Sue Crowe, editor of House & Garden; Julian Land, writer and critic at The Times….. This prize once again confirms that Kartell recent strategy is proving to be a winning one as its products are loved around the world!
